Warehouse Assistant

We are looking for team players who are enthusiastic, reliable, happy to get “stuck in” and see a job through from start to finish. Based in our Hamilton Distribution Centre and reporting to the Inventory Team Leader, you will be working alongside a team that is dedicated to ensuring our inventory is accurate and efficiently located across our Distribution Centre.
This is a physically demanding role working on our Distribution Centre floor which requires someone with a good degree of strength, and a keen eye for detail. This busy role will offer you a variety of tasks, including:
- Undertaking Cycle Counts of locations to ensure accuracy
- Audit outgoing stock transfers for errors
- Consolidate stock to ensure space efficiency
- Putaway incoming stock in locations
- Ensure product is stored safely at all times
- Working at heights and Operating forklifts
- Health and safety - actively promoting safe work practices and ensuring a safe work environment is maintained at all times
Shifts required are:
- Monday - Friday 5 hrs/day between 9am to 2:30pm (25hrs/week)
Qualifications
To succeed in the role you will be someone who:
- Has strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Displays good problem solving and time management skills
- Comfortable working at heights
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Has the ability to use initiative and work independently
- Distribution/Warehouse experience is desirable but not essential
- Forklift License/Working at Heights experience is desirable but not essential
